Meet Nadia van Wyk, the young talent who dreams of being the first South African to win an XCO World Cup.

The passionate Sub Junior was inspired 6 years ago by her dad and now has a dedicated, daily routine to being active.

She is a multisport athlete who regularly competes at athletics, duathlon, triathlon, cross country and mountain biking.

Her favourite being mountain biking.

“I want to be the first South African to win the all African Team Jersey at Cape Epic too.”

She loves training and hopes to pursue a career as a professional athlete.

Amongst her coaches, Dieter Voight and Marcelle van der Poel, she considers her dad to be her “secret weapon.”

“My dad motivates me and makes me train hard to get where I am today.”

She hopes to one day race with her idols, Kate Courtney, Jolanda Neff and Pauline Ferrand.

What she loves about sport is the opportunity to meet new people, make friends and have fun in races.

She also believes that sports teaches discipline and to stay focused.

Nadia’s standout memory is winning her first SA triathlon and SA Road Cycling Champs where she won all 3 disciplines.

You’ll often find her zooming around Bloemendal Trail Park, working on her skills or sharing training tips on Instagram.

We wish her well and look forward to seeing her step on her dream podium.
